Make-up and hair plays a huge part in every bride's dream of their perfect wedding.
The most common request I receive from my client is to look radiant and made up for their special day but still feel like they are looking at themselves in the mirror when my work is complete. I believe that it is important to allow make-up to enhance your personality and self-confidence Not Mask it.
You should start your research what services for hair and make-up are available in your area around 6 to 8 months prior to your wedding day and arrange to have trials with your selected makeup artist(s). Having a trial is very important as it not only gives you a chance to see what you may look like on your big day- and compare it with what you have imagined, but also to give you an insight into the make-up artists style of work, overall approach and professionalism .
Do plenty of research into different types of bridal looks through wedding and beauty magazines, if you see something you really like, take it along to the trial with you. This will help the make-up artist in building a picture of the type of look you have in mind and guide you in what will suit you best based on the information provided.
On the big day you can sit back and relax after all your preparations and be made to feel special by a professional.
On the actual day, allow approximately 2.5 hours for the hair stylist and make-up artist to recreate your chosen look. Asian brides should allow approximately an additional half hour for the stylist to dress your duppatta (veil worn on the head) /saree and jewellery.
